The next meeting is this coming Saturday 3rd August. The meeting is a YNU Botanical Section meeting to Doncaster Common lead by Louise Hill. Meet at 10.30 at Sandall Beat Wood car park at the end of the straight mile (Sandall Beat Rd, off Ledger Way SE609037, DN2 6JP).

Louise has added:

Our tour will hopefully include the golf course roughs where there should still be populations of petty whin and dwarf gorse to be found. If there is time we may also visit an area of heath beside the Great
North Road before returning across the new Sandall Beat Habitat Bank at Redhouse Farm.

The meeting will last all day so bring lunch, although of course you can leave any time. Experts from around Yorkshire will be there so if you like botany or want to improve your identification skills then this is the meeting for you.
