Brockadale Butterflies Walk meet in the car park. at 1.30pm Wednesday 17 July

A message from the leader, Joyce Simmons

Looking at the weather forecast (notoriously unreliable) it seems like there might be a bit of sunshine to bring the butterflies out. At the moment the Silver-washed Fritillaries and Marbled Whites are on the wing, and we could reasonably hope for at least 10 more.

Failing sunshine, there are some interesting plants likely to be in flower.

All the rain may well have rewetted the paths, so puddles and overgrowing vegetation are likely, so come prepared. You may like a stick for steep paths.

Walk of about 2 miles, taking at least 2 hours.

There are no toilets in Brockadale.
