Visit to Bernard Russell’s Woodland Tuesday 22 April.

Meet 1.30 pm in lay-by off the A635 East of the A1 junction.
Leader : Bernard Russell

Ducker Holt wood is a small family run woodland in Doncaster. It is in the early stages of regeneration into a traditional coppice with standards wood.

Here is a message from Joyce about the meeting on April 22nd.

The woodland is actually Ducker Holt woodland, owned by member Bernard Russell. It is on the east side of the A1 junction with the A635.

Parking is in the large layby at the opposite side of the road (SE 529053). Bernard Russell will meet us there. The mixed woodland is on limestone and therefore we expect a varied and interesting spring flora. There are tracks through the woodland, but there are brambles and uneven surfaces, so good footwear is essential.
