ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Wednesday May 2nd (no year given)

Notes and Records

At the Annual Meeting the Committee will recommend that the following Rules be adopted to replace those of April 1927 

  1. The Society shall consist of members subscribing 6/-d per year, and associates under the age of 18 subscribing 2/-6d, payable annually in April; also Honorary Members who for special reasons may be deemed worthy of election. Voting at a general meeting shall be restricted to members. Ten shall form a quorum.
  2. The Committee shall consist of a President, four Vice-Presidents, a Treasurer, a Scientific Secretary, a General Secretary and not more than ten other members. Five shall form a quorum.
  3. Two Vice-Presidents and half of the committee shall retire each year in rotation and be eligible for re-election. The Treasurer and Secretaries shall retire annually and be eligible for re-election. Casual vacancies shall be filled by the committee.
  4. The Society’s financial year shall be from April 1st to March 31st. Membership shall lapse when a subscription is unpaid by Feby. 28th.
  5. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in April, for the election of the Committee, the presentation of Reports and Statement of Accounts, and the transaction of any special business.
  6. The name of any person desiring to join the Society shall be submitted to the Committee for election. If approved, the subscription shall then be due and must be paid within one month; otherwise such election shall be null and void.

Rules 7, 8 and 9 remain unaltered.

Members should meet Miss Brunskill at the west End of the Minster at 3.0 pm. Trains leave Doncaster Station at 11.46 am and 12.34 pm. Day return Fare 6/-d.
