Meeting Reports March 2025

Indoor Meeting, Wednesday 19th March 2025

Meet : 7:30 pm at Flintwood Methodist Church, Lansdowne Rd, Intake, Doncaster.
Subject : Movie Makers evening.

Report :

For information and discussion.

Hi Jeff (Prior)
Please pass on my thanks to the natural history group for their contribution towards making our joint meeting so enjoyable. It is quite amazing that our two groups with such diverse agenda can meet together and share so much common ground. I refer particularly to the projects in which both groups have been involved  on Thorne and Hatfield Moors. We both had to face a challenging environment dealing with filming such a vast area combatting wind noise and capturing live reports whilst on site never taking the easier route by adding the narration at post production stage. The movie makers have the skills and experience of addressing some of the issues which film making throws up and would be willing to provide any help should it be needed. The NATS only need to ask.
On behalf of DMM I would like to thank the NATS for sharing their films, their company , their expertise and most especially their food with us.
It also occurs to me that some of our training discussions and presentations may be of interest to our friends and I wish to extend an invitation for anyone interested to take part as and when we hold these evenings. I’m sure I can rely on you Jeff to liaise with our friends to make them aware of our programme of events.
Kind regards
Mike (Heath)
